Ashfield House Hostel Dublin is the most centrally located hostel in Dublin situated between Trinity College and O'Connell Bridge and 1 minute walk from Temple Bar, Grafton Street and Dublin city's many tourist attractions - its location is second-to-none!

Ashfield House has been welcoming groups of all nationalities since it opened its doors in 1995 and offers groups a variety of room types to choose from and all rooms are en-suite (toilet and shower in rooms). Students can be accommodated in multi bedded, six and 4 bedded rooms. Leader and coach drivers in twin and single rooms. Ashfield House is the perfect base for groups to explore the many sights & attractions in Dublin city centre.

From Dublin Airport

From Ferry Terminals

By Train

Coming from the airport you can catch the express bus, the local public bus or take a taxi to the city centre.

Airlink Express Bus (Dublin Bus Routes 747 & 748)
When you arrive at Dublin airport arrivals hall various buses are located outside the main arrival hall doors.
The stop you are looking for is O'Connell Street - ask the driver to let you know when the bus has arrived here. When you reach O’Connell Street cross to the south side of O’Connell Bridge – walk towards the Heineken Building and you will find D’Olier Street, Ashfield house is located 50 yards up on the left hand side.

747 - Mon-Sat: 5.45 - 22.50, Sun: 7.15- 23.30
748 - Mon-Sat: 6.50 - 21.30, Sun: 7.00 - 22.05

Services depart the airport from 05.45 am - 23.30 pm at 10/20 minute intervals
€6.00 for a single ticket, €3.00 for an under 16s ticket

Aircoach
When you arrive at Dublin airport you can take the Aircoach bus from outside of the terminal building
The stop you are looking for is Grafton Street / Trinity College; ask the driver to indicate when you have arrived. From here you must walk north towards O’Connell Bridge. Ashfield House is approximately a 5 minute walk from here.

Route 16A
When you arrive at Dublin airport - take the bus located outside of the main arriving hall on your left side (the last stop).
Get off at Upper O'Connell Street and follow the same directions as above.

Route 41
Take the bus directly from outside terminal building. Get off at Eden Quay - walk towards O'Connell Bridge and follow directions as above.

By Taxi
Taxis are available from the forecourt outside the main entrance of the Arrivals level. The approximate cost of a taxi to Ashfield Hostel is €40 (however this depends on traffic and the time of the day).

From Dublin Ferry Port (Northwall)

By Bus: Take the public bus outside of the main building; Buses 7, 7A and 46A run to the city centre.
By Taxi:
A taxi from here will cost approximately €20 depending on traffic. It can be quite difficult to get a taxi from the ferry port when a large number of passengers travel.

From Dun Laoghaire Ferry Port

By Bus: Take the 746
Mon- Sat: 8.00- 20:30, every hour. Sun: 10.30- 17:30, every hour

By Train (Dart):
If you are traveling by Dart, you should alight at Tara Street Station. Walk along the river via Burgh Quay-until you come to O’Connell Bridge House (Heineken Building). Take a left here and you will be on D’Olier street.
By Taxi:
Taxi could cost you approximately €30 depending on traffic and the amount of passengers.

From Connolly Station

If you are traveling from Connolly Station, you can walk to our hostel or take a bus
On foot:
It takes only 10 minutes to walk from Connelly Station to Ashfield house. Cross the Road at the traffic lights and continue along Talbot Street. Walk until you reach the Spire on O’Connell Street. At the Spire, turn left and walk towards O’Connell Bridge. We are located on the south side of the bridge.
By Bus:
Take the 151 or 128
Bus no. 128: Mon-Fr: 6.00- 23.10 approximately every 10/15 minutes, Sat: 6.30- 23.10 approximately every 15/20 minutes, Sun: 9.00- 23:30 approximately every 20 minutes
Bus no. 151: Mon-Fr: 6:25- 22:50 approximately every 10 minutes until 19:00 after less frequently, Sat: 6:45- 23:10 every 15 minutes until 19:00, Sun: 6:45- 23:10 approximately every 20 minutes until 20:00 after every 30 minutes
By Taxi:
Traveling by taxi could cost you approximately €7 depending on traffic.

From Heuston Station

By Tram (LUAS): This is the easiest way. Take the tram at Heuston Station and get off at Abbey St Luas Stop. Then walk back a minute to find O’Connell Street and turn left and walk towards O’Connell Bridge.
By Bus:
Take the no. 78 (€1.50)
By Taxi:
There is a taxi rank located outside the train station. Taking Taxi from Heuston Station will cost approximately €15.00 depending on traffic and amount of passengers.
